NPP infighting: Afoko loyalists clash with party security at HQ

clashThere was a clash between supporters of the beleaguered National chairman of the NPP Paul Afoko and the party’s security personnel at the headquarters at Asylum-down, Accra Thursday afternoon.

The fight ensued after the supposed Afoko loyalists were stopped from entering the premises of the head office, reports noted.

StarrFMonline.com has learnt that two people were severely injured in the fisticuffs.

It took the intervention of the police to restore calm.

The Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition is in a state of confusion as seven regional branches have called for the resignation of its national chairman Afoko and general secretary Agyepong.

The two executives are being accused of masterminding the killing of the party’s Upper East regional chairman Adams Mahama and causing division in the party.
