Herbert Addo must resign – Mohammed Polo

Hearts of Oak legend Mohammed Polo wants Herbert Addo to step down as head coach of the Continental Club Masters.

Already booted out of the 2015 CAF Confederations Cup, the Phobians are 14th on the 16-team league table with just a point above the relegation zone.

Medeama SC further deepened the woes of Hearts at the weekend, kicking them out of this year’s MTN FA Cup.

Polo, who had an unsuccessful stint with the club last season, wants Addo to jump the ship before it sinks.

“Herbert Addo needs to resign honourably because he has failed the team. With his pedigree, I’m surprised he’s not doing well. There are quality players in the team, the same players I had when I was there and he added more players,” Polo told Kumasi-based Ultimate FM.

“Addo had more time with the players because of the delay in the start of the league and yet they play as if he has just taken charge of the club. It’s up to the board to sack but for me, I think he should resign honourably before he is kicked out of the club,” Polo concluded.
