Mahama will win 2016 elections – Kukurantumi Chief

The Chief of Kukurantumi Daasebre Boamah Darko has predicted victory for President John Mahama and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2016 elections.

Daasebre Boamah, who doubles as the Adontenhene of the Akyem Abuakwa traditional area in the Eastern region said the President will win the polls because of his “good works”.

Speaking at a gathering in the town Wednesday, the chief said the NDC has done enough to merit a second term in office.

“We are aware of the many good things the NDC government is doing from the tenure of the late President Mills to the current administration. Governance is not easy but the President is trying.

“Because of the increasing size of the national population, development must be spread across in bits and by the grace of God; the way this government is developing this country, I believe he will win the 2016 polls,” he stated.

Daasebre added that the ruling government is doing well in many parts of the country and must be supported.

He particularly commended the Mahama administration for the many developmental projects it is embarking on in the Akyem Abuakwa traditional area.
