Tension at Kwahu South as NDC executives threaten to torch DCE’s residence

Tension is mounting in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern region following a lingering feud between the DCE for the area Joseph Omari and executives of the NDC.

Heavily armed Police officers were Saturday dawn dispatched to the residence of the DCE after some executives of the party threatened to torch the house, Starr News’Kojo reported.

The tensions were sparked Wednesday after the DCE reportedly pepper sprayed the executives following a misunderstanding at a meeting to discuss an impending visit to the area by the Eastern regional minister.

Subsequently, Mpraeso constituency chairman and four other executives of the party were detained at the Nkawkwa police station.
