Ghana’s women hockey team leaves for UK

The national women’s hockey team is off to the United Kingdom for a training tour, according to the coach of the side Emmanuel Ahadjie.

The programme, which is organised by the England Hockey Association, is to serve as a preparatory tour grounds for the Black Sticks ahead of the Africa Olympic Qualifier in Johannesburg, South Africa on October 24.

“The programme was organized by the England Hockey Association to help improve Ghana’s hockey women’s team. We will play four friendly matches there as part of their training tour,” Ahadjie told Starr Sports.
