Robbers terrorize Ho market traders at gun point

A gang of armed robbers Tuesday evening ambushed and robbed some traders at the Ho Central Market at gun point.

According to eyewitnesses, the robbers numbering about eight, storm the RTC Park near the central market at about 8:30pm, where the traders, mostly from Tema and Ashaiman were boarding a bus back to their destinations.

The robbers who came to the area, minutes after a police patrol team left, according to eyewitnesses tortured the traders, mostly women, and bolted with about Gh¢ 20,000.

Some eyewitnesses told Starr News’ regional correspondent, Lambert Atsivor, the robbers also attacked other persons within the vicinity, in the operation which lasted for almost an hour amidst sporadic gun shots.

They, however, absconded from the scene before a Police patrol team returned.

Some injured victims are seeking medical attention while others are currently at the Ho Central Police station assisting with investigations.
