Judicial scandal: Indicted judges in crunch meeting with CJ, Anas

Ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has joined all the 34 Judges implicated in the judicial corruption scandal in a crunch meeting with the Chief Justice, Georgina Theodora Wood as judicial inquiry into the matter begins.

Anas spent two years investigating the rot within the Judiciary.

The judges caught in the scandal are being made to watch the documentary that captures how they took the bribes they are alleged to have received on cases on which they were presiding.

The exercise, according to Starr News’ court reporter, Wilberfoce Asare is part of a comprehensive process to establish a prima-face case against the judges for subsequent sanctioning.

The judges are likely to be impeached if a prima-facie case is established against them.

Twenty-two circuit and magistrate court judges were on Wednesday suspended by the Judicial Council for allegedly taking bribes to influence their decisions on cases.
