Samuel Atta Mills , younger brother of late President John Evans Atta Mills has debunked claims that he is not from the Komenda – Edina-Eguafo-Abirem (KEEA) and therefore doesn’t qualify to contest the seat on the ticket of the ruling National Democratic Congress ( NDC ) in their impending parliamentary primaries .
He is accused by his opponents of not being an indigene or resident in that area ; an accusation he says is not true as he grew up in the area and still has his home there.
Samuel Atta Mills is therefore urging delegates to give him the nod as he has what it takes to unite the constituency and win the seat for the NDC.
He describes himself as a man of integrity; an attribute he says he would employ to develop and serve the people of the area. The seat is currently occupied by the New Patriotic Party’s Dr. Nana Ato Arthur.
Samuel Atta Mills is facing stiff competition from two other candidates namely Doreen Ewuraba Mansa Manieson who represented the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) in the Constituency in 2012 elections and has now joined the NDC.
The other contestant is Lawyer Francis Asmah.
