Asante Kotoko striker Ahmed Toure has earned himself a call-up to the Burkina-Faso national team ahead of their friendlies against Mali and Congo.
Toure who is currently on loan at Lebanese Club Nejmeh arrived in Ghana on Friday to sort out his France visa in other to enable him travel for the games in the European country.
The 28-year-old was invited by head coach Gernot Rohr after impressing at Kotoko having scored 11 goals for the Porcupine Warriors last season.
The attacker who also holds an Ivorian passport has been knocking on the doors of his native country since joining Kotoko in 2007.
The former El Guona forward has been overlooked on several occasions despite his impressive performance in the Ghana Premier League.
The former Africa Sports player had previously revealed his desire to play for the Black Stars following the constant snub by his country.
He however earns an opportunity to keep himself in the team for their Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers.
