NDC Fires Treasurer Over Bloody Attack

The Ahafo Ano North Constituency Treasurer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Adams Alhassan has been suspended from the party over his violent conduct that led the injuring of the constituency chairman

The Ashanti Regional Secretariat of the party in statement issued to the media a while ago stated that his suspension is in relation to recent developments in the party in the area.

According to the statement, his suspension is to pave way for further investigations into the incident by police to establish his culpability or otherwise in the incident.

“…In view of the current developments, Mr Adams Alhassan (Treasurer) of the Ahafo Ano North constituency has been suspended with immediate effect pending further investigations,” the statement stressed.

It would be recalled the constituency Chairman Samuel Awuni was allegedly stabbed following some disagreements over who must keep custody of a Mahindra pickup presented to the constituency for campaigning in the 2016 elections.

The NDC in a statement condemned the incident and urged party members to use the approved structures in resolving their grievances.
