#NDCDecides: Kumbungu Primary Suspended

The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended both Presidential and Parliamentary primaries in the Kumbungu constituency.

The suspension follows an agreement reached by officials of the Electoral Commission (EC),  Regional Executives and the National Executives of the party.

It has however been slated for tomorrow Sunday November 22, 2015 officials revealed.

Northern Regional Secretary of the NDC, lawyer Khalid Abdul Rauf who confirmed the suspension disclosed that the National director elections upon careful assessment of the situation affirmed  the suspension.

Over four hundred aliens are believed to have been enrolled onto the register with claims by other candidates that it was masterminded by Ras Mubarak.

Meanwhile in the Mion constituency, 25 names were detected to be members of other opposition parties when voting began . The intervention by the incumbent Member of Parliament Dr Ahmed Alhassan Yakubu prevented violence in the area as some persons attempted resisting the expunging of the names.

In the Tamale Central Constituency, two attempts were made to snatch but a ballot box but the attempts were foiled by the security deployed to the area.
