Koku Anyidoho takes NPP to the cleaners

The Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Koku Anyidoho has taken the members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to the cleaners, describing them as irrational beings who are not ready for power.

He observed that the NPP refused to produce evidence to the Electoral Commission (EC) on the Togolose’ register, asking the officials of the latter to procure the register themselves.

‘On the Togolese register, you were asked to produce your evidence, then you say the EC should find a way of procuring it and that you will not give the EC what you have. That kind of logic operates only in the elephants’ kingdom and not among the human kingdom,‘ he fumed.

He lashed out at the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidate of NPP, Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia for telling Ghanaians lies on the Togolese’ register.

‘When they came out with this fictitious document, what did they tell us, they told us that it was 10% work in progress, and that in due cause they will produce the extra 90%. Bawumia during his press conference supported by Nana Addo lied to the nation. The two gentlemen have put their credibility on the line and cannot pass the test. A Phd holder in Economics and a Lecturer you do 10% work in progress and come and present it to the nation and wants to be applauded,’ he asked.

Speaking on Ultimate breakfast hosted by Prince Minkah, he blasted the NPP for taken the nation in ransom based on their 10% work in progress.

‘Don’t you feel miserable, because of 10% evidence, the NPP wants to hold the whole nation in ransom, now Ghanaians know the truth,’ he asserted.

Touching on the EC’s position on the need not to have a credible new voters’ register, Mr. Anyidoho stated that it is a cacophonous attempt by the NPP to have their way.

‘It’s a position that we as a party has taken that the NPP is engaged in nothing but a cacophonous attempt to have their way. They realised that going through the front door it’s going to be problematic, so let’s make lots of noise and hullabaloos and hopefully drawn the larger arguments, and be able to operate through the back doors.  And so the EC created the forum which they didn’t anticipate, they thought that the EC was going to invite only the NPP for a chat and come out and make more propaganda. EC in its wisdom opened up the forum for all political parties and Civil Society Groups (CSOs),’ he observed.

According to him, when the EC opened the forum which did not favour the NPP, they realised that their plans have failed.

‘Once that happened the NPP got knocked on their knees, I mean everybody listened to Mark Manu on that day, with extremely watery arguments, especially on the Togolese’ register,’ he pointed out.

He warned that the nation will not drag itself in the cacophony of the NPP, ‘they can go on in their small world, and the country will move on’.

The Deputy General Secretary of the NDC intimated that they are not worried over the various groups emanating from the NPP.

‘Let NPP continue to spring up groups, it will still be one, let them spring up into one million groups,  LMVCA, COFFTRE, we are not worried, if they are not ready 2016 we are,’ he said.
