Headmaster of Tuobodom Senior High School (SHS) in the Brong Ahafo Region, Mr. Yeboah Bismarck has disclosed that last Sunday’s fire outbreak in the school has not stalled academic work.
According to him, teaching and learning is ongoing while authorities anticipate the arrival of first-year students of the school who are yet to report for the term.
“As we speak, almost all teachers are in the classroom taking their lessons. The fire has not disrupted academic activities at all”, he revealed.
Mr. Yeboah confirmed that unfortunate incident indeed destroyed property of the school but was quick to deny the loss of backup data to the fire indicating that sensitive data had been secured.
“Our backup data is safe from destruction because the timely intervention of fire personnel helped”, he said
The school on Sunday morning it would be recalled was gutted by fire destroying some property including Television sets, refrigerators, wireless sets and other documents.
It was reported to have burnt parts of the administration block and the school’s library with the actual cause of the fire still unknown
But the Headmaster revealed that the school occasionally experience power surge and believes it could also have sparked the fire but said authorities of the Ghana National Fire Service are still conducting investigations into the incident.
