Ghanaians in Carolina donate US$100,000 equipment to KATH

Management of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi has taken delivery of hospital equipment worth 100,000 US dollars from Asanteman Association of Carolina.

Among the items donated to the hospital include hospital bed, incubators, needle and other health equipment.

The move according to the association forms part of their social responsibility towards stocking hospitals that lack equipment to promote health care delivery.

Receiving the items, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of KATH, Dr. Joseph Apkaloo expressed appreciation to the association for the kind gesture, urging other Ghanaians living in the Diaspora to also support the hospital which serves as the only referral hospital serving the north belt of the country.

In in an interview with Ultimate Fm’s Isaac Justice Bediako, Dories Gemfi Executive Member of Asanteman Association of Carolina urged management of the premier hospital to use the equipment judiciously.
