The Acting Inspector General Police (IGP) John Kudalor has been sworn into office as the substantive IGP by the President John Dramani Mahama on Friday.
Until his appointment as Acting IGP in November 2015, he was the Director General of Police Operations.
The Acting IGP has a 20-year wealth of experience in the police service and was in charge of monitoring in the 2012 general elections.
He replaces Mohammed Alhassan who has commenced his accumulated leave as he prepares to go on retirement.
Since his assumption as the Acting IGP, he has been having fruitful discussions with the media both on phone and in-studio discussions on security issues.
