The Acting Director of the Information Services Department (ISD) Mr Francis Kwarteng Arthur has been sacked.
His sack is contained in a statement issued by the Minister of communications Dr. Edward K. Omane Boamah with no reasons assigned.
It is however believed that his dismissal is in relation to the 59th Independence Day Celebration Brochure gaffe which many say subjected nation to public ridicule.
Mr Francis Kwarteng Arthur in a statement accepted responsibility for the error-prone brochure and rendered an unqualified apology to the president and people of Ghana.
But aggrieved workers of the ISD have denied any culpability indicating that they were not responsible for the printing of the brochure which referred to Kenya leader Uhuru Kenyatta as the President of Ghana, while describing the 59-year-old country as a “low income country” among other misrepresentations.
