Fulani herdsman convicted for defilement

A 34-year-old Fulani herdsman identified as Rowa Mawunyi, has been sentenced to 18 years imprisonment in hard labour by a Kpando Circuit Court for defiling two girls aged Nine and Ten respectively  at Akra Akura a farming community in Dambai in the Volta Region.
The court presided over by Justice Emmanuel Agyiri sentenced the suspect on his own plea of guilty after he was arrested for defiling the young girls in  February this year. 
The Fulani herdsman who lured the two innocent girls into his room defiled them in turns after e sent them on errands.
One of the parents of the two girls reported the case to the police when the young girl fell sick and could not attend school for a week.
Upon interrogation by the parents, the girl confessed being defiled along with her friend by Mawunyi.
He was whisked away by security personnel at the court to begin his sentence after the verdict was read.
