The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has set April 9 for the Ablekuma West Constituency parliamentary primary.
The election of the a parliamentary candidate for the area in the Greater Accra Region was put on ice following chaos that rocked the processes somewhere last year.
Meanwhile, snippets of information picked by ultimate1069.com, reveal that cool heads have still prevailed with seeming tension among various camps within the constituency
Kasapa FM’s Maame Broni reports that Theophilus Tetteh, a former Constituency Chairman who is alleged to be loyal to one of the factions, failed to turn up for the vetting of prospective candidates
But party’s Director of Elections, Dr. Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah noted there was a communication from the regional chairman Ishmeal Ashiettey indicating Mr. Tetteh had officially written to the party on his absence from the vetting but the committee is yet to receive the said letter and take a conclusive decision on his fate.
