Suhum: WASSCE candidate crashed to death

A 19-year-old candidate of the ongoing West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) Patience Gyamfuah Aseidu has been crashed to death by a vehicle in Suhum, Eastern Region.

The General Arts student of the Suhum Islamic Girls Senior High School (SHS) died on the spot when a speeding Kia minibus with registration number GR 4087-13 traveling from Nsawam to Suhum knocked her around 8:pm yesterday Monday.

According to sources familiar with the incident, she was crossing the Accra-Kumasi highway which passes in front of her school to receive an item from her boyfriend.

The remains of the student has been deposited at the Suhum Government hospital.

Speaking to Ultimate news, the Suhum Municipal Police Commander Superintendent Yaaya Muchiraru  stated that investigations have begun into the incident.
