Dr. Zanetor Rawlings and embattled National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate Korle-Klottey Constituency of the Greater Accra Region in her bid to prove her critics she is a registered voter, has flaunted her Voter’s Identity Card.
It is not immediately known if the daughter of the former first family took advantage of the ongoing limited registration exercise to be enrolled onto the country’s electoral register.
But a close look at the image revealed she had her forefinger dipped into the indelible ink from the polling station from which registered, after which she placed it on her traveler’s passport to prove her Ghanaian citizenship before taking the shot.
The candidature of Dr. Zanetor is being challenged by the Member of Parliament (MP) and former Greater Accra Regional Minister Nii Armah Ashietey who lost during the constituency primary in his bid to seek another term on the ticket of the NDC.
Peeved over the outcome, he filed several suits claiming that his contender is not a registered voter and must be stripped off her position as the parliamentary candidate for the area accusing some unseen hands of working in favour of Dr. Zanetor.
The case is currently pending before the court which is yet to give its final verdict as to whether or not she is a registered voter and whether she is entitled to her current position as the NDC parliamentary candidate for the area.
