Ex-Namibian Prez. urges Graduates not to limit knowledge to only Ghana

Former Namibian President  Hifikepunye Pohamba Lucas has challenged  graduates from the University for Development Studies (UDS) not to confine  the  application  of  their  knowledge only  to  Ghana,  but   share  their  wealth  of knowledge  with  other  African  countries.

He said the exchange  and  cross-fertilization  of  knowledge  in Africa  is  an  important  aspect  of  the  integration agenda of the continent towards development.

The Ex-Namibian President Pohamba Lucas  in an acceptance speech immediately he was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree by the UDS  after delivering a three-day lecture at the African Leadership Lecture, acknowledged Ghana’s contribution to the development of Namibia before and after independence of the country.

The Africa Leadership Lectures is a platform to subject the issues of leadership and development in Africa to the required critical thought.

It also creates a forum to inspire positive and innovative leadership initiatives as well as stimulate and initiate a platform for an action on constructive leadership in Ghana and Africa.

Hifikepunye Pohamba Lucas  used the opportunity, to congratulate authorities of UDS for establishing such innovative tradition of Africa Leadership Lecture series and encouraged them to continue with such exemplary tradition which will enable opinion leaders such as former heads and government, business academia and civil society to share their experiences for the benefit of the institution and the continent.
