A former General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Member of Parliament for Okere in the Eastern Region Dan Botwe was on Friday dawn robbed at gunpoint in his Tema residence.
Reports suggest he was being held hostage for about 45 minutes by the bandits who made away with his Laptops, mobile phones and an undisclosed amount of money.
His security man is currently being held by the Police as investigations commence into the attack.
The attack comes on the back of the killing of the Abuakwa North MP Joseph Boakye Danquah by an alleged thief in February this year.
The MP who has been buried was murdered in his home in Accra.
