Mr. Paul Awentami Afoko on Saturday was among dignitaries to commiserate with Former Chief of Staff under the erstwhile President Kufour regime, Kwadwo Mpianim on the demise of his uncle at Agona Jamasi in the Ashanti Region.
Accompanied by Former Deputy Minister of Fisheries Daniel Dugan, Former Central Regional Chairman Nana Owusu Ankoma, his spokesperson Nana Yaw Osei and a former parliamentary candidate for Bole-Bamboi Issahaku Kotomah, Mr. Afoko was literally mobbed by mourners who could hardly hide their joy.
Mourners were seen cheering Mr. Afoko as he exchanged pleasantries with the bereaved family and those on the front row at the funeral grounds.
While he was seated and observing proceedings, a cheerful number of people drew closer to the businessman to take pictures with him while others found it difficult to make room for their colleague to take their turn.
Also present was the suspended General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Nsuta Kwaamang Asafo Agyei and some party stalwarts
