The Social Welfare Director in the Asunafo North municipality in Brong Ahafo Region Prince Fofoe has called on Ghanaians to rise up and fight for the rights of persons with disabilities.
According to him, persons with disabilities have the rights to move freely to every place
but are unable to do because most of the buildings in the country are not disability friendly.
The Social Welfare Director observed that persons with disabilities are not able to visit places such as stadia, storey buildings, government vehicles as well as private and state institutions.
Making the call on Genesis Radio, he charged government and stakeholders to enforce disability law.
‘Lets rise up and fight for their rights because disability is not a curse and everyone can be a victim,’ he appealed.
