NDC Footsoldiers demonstrate over Montie 3 Jail

Some footsoldiers of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) are demonstrating in some principal streets in Accra over Montie three jail term.

The irate supporters of the party are requesting the president John Dramani Mahama to grant the contemnors a presidential pardon.

They will later today picket at the party’s office to press home their demands.

The three contemnors Alistair Nelson, Godwin Ako Gunn and Salifu Maase alias Mugabe were sentenced to four months imprisonment each by the Supreme court on Wednesday.
The duo, Nelson and Gunn on a live political show on Accra-based Montie fm threatened the lives of the Supreme court judges.
Owners of the station were also fined GHC30,000 to be paid by Thursday, failure to serve a month jail term.

Some bigwigs in NDC have argued that the judges should have ‘tempered justice with mercy’, looking at their remorseful nature.
