Ghana not Safe under Nana Addo- Samuel Ofosu Ampofo

Second Vice Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, has expressed fears about the safety and security  of the country under a Nana Akufo-Addo-led government and therefore he should not be offered the opportunity.

He thinks Nana-Addo does not have what it takes to be president of the country because he has failed to properly manage issues within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) bequeathed him by ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor.

“He cannot manage his own party properly how then do we expect him to manage the country”, he quizzed.

Speaking at the launch of the party’s campaign at Cape Coast on Sunday, he disclosed that the country is not a test running economy for the NPP torch bearer to want the electorate to test his competence.

According to him, persons with the needed track-record should be mandated to steer the affairs of the country and therefore warned of dire consequences for the country if they make a mistake and mandate Nana-Addo.

“Persons with good track-records should be voted for because they have proven their worth. John Dramani Mahama has proven his worth and he must be voted for a second-term because he has proven to have the capacity”, he added.

The NDC Director of Elections revealed that it is a tradition for each sitting president to be given two terms after Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyekum Kufuor both had two terms in office urging the electorate to do same for JM.
