4 Garrison pays courtesy call on new GOC-Central Command

The Executive and Members of the 4 Garrison Officers Mess Tennis Club have paid a courtesy call on the new General Officer Commanding (GOC) the Central Command of the Ghana Army, Brigadier-General Cosmos B. Alhassan.

The Executives and a select side of members of the club who visited him at his office on Monday congratulated him on his new appointment and also lauded the military for their support of the Club.

The President of the club, Samuel Ampadu-Kyei briefed the GOC on the programmes of the club and the physical facilities that the club has been able to build.

He promised of the club’s support during his tenure of office. He also wished him well.

The General Officer Commanding the Central Command, Brig. Gen. Cosmos B. Alhassan was full of praise for what the club has been doing for the game of tennis in the country and for Army Mess.

He was of the opinion that with the collaboration of the military, the game of Tennis can be promoted further and plans to make the 4 Garrison Tennis Court a tourist attraction in Kumasi.

He also urged the club to maintain the discipline it has set for itself.

He further assured the club of his support and vowed to continue his predecessor’s good work.

Cosmos B. Alhassan succeeded Brig. General Joseph Adu Boampong as General Officer Command-Central Command last month.
