Ghanaian sprinter Flings Owusu Agyepong says she’s turned her attentions to Thursday’s women’s 4×100 meter relay after she failed to qualify for the women’s 100m finals.
Flings ran a time of 11.43s in her heats on Saturday, but her time was too slow to help her progress.
However, she has a chance for redemption in the 4x100m relay on Thursday with Ghana’s relay team, an event she’s already looking forward to.
“I had a really good reaction to the gun. Unfortunately I had a little stumble in my second or third step and wasn’t able to recover well to get into a good position,” she said after the race.
“It felt like a solid race. It was slow but am not upset am just looking forward to the relay.”
