The Managing Group Editor of Excellence in Broadcasting (EIB), Marian Eyiram Bashan has assured that seasoned journalists across the EIB media outlets will churn out authoritative and balanced reports to listeners and readers during the December polls.
She observed that stakes are high; ‘EIB journalists have acquired all the arsenals to deliver compelling content’.
Mrs .Bashan stated that the international media is the benchmark of EIB Journalists to assess their performances.
‘My team is ready, they have all the arsenals they need to on slot am very confident that they will deliver across board, and for us it’s not about looking at our local competitors, our benchmark is the international media and the best practices out there, and so it’s not so much about looking around us to see who is out competing us or not, but we have equipped ourselves with what we believe is the best, having Lancaster University as part of the squad, we have interacted with National Election Taskforce, the Electoral Commission (EC), Coalition of Independent Election Observers (CODEO). I mean three sixty degree training, just to equip us ready battle to cover elections like Ghana has never experienced before, my team is ready, Ghana should be ready to see the best out of our staple,’ she explained.
Speaking during a pre-election training programme over the weekend for EIB journalists, she assured Ghanaians of unparalleled election coverage from EIB media outlets.
EIB media outlets include: Ultimate FM, Starr FM, Abusua FM, Agoo TV, Agoo FM, Empire, Kasapa FM, Live FM, Gh One and Daily Heritage Newspaper.
