Photos: Ultimate FM Lands in Asokwa with ‘Kumasi Speaks’ project

The Ultimate Breakfast Show crew is currently stationed at Atonsu station, a suburb of Kumasi in the Asokwa constituency in the Ashanti Region with its ‘Kumasi Speaks’ project.

This comes on the back of Ultimate 106.9FM’s outreach programme where the vision of the various parliamentary candidates seeking to represent the constituency during December polls are interrogated.

The outreach programme also forms part of EIB Election Hub, where election related issues are dissected.

Patricia Appiagyei is the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency.

In the 2012 elections Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo garnered 52,960 votes representing 77.88% and the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) John Mahama garnered 14,673 votes representing 21.58% in the parliamentary elections.

The MP garnered 64,904 votes representing 83.43% and the NDC’s Charles Kojo Obeng garnered 12,647 votes representing 16.26%.

Candidates contesting the seat include the incumbent MP,  Sarah Amponsah Fordjuor of  Progressive People’s Party (PPP) and the NDC’ s Dorcas Dufie.
