The president of Association of State Attorneys Francisca Tete-Mensah has bemoaned the continuous promises by the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations Haruna Iddrisu without action to satisfy their grievances.
She is worried that the minister over a year keeps promising resolution to grievances of the association without concrete steps taken to that effect.
“The employment minister keeps promising for more than a year now with no action. He promises and we don’t see any action”, she indicated on the Ultimate Breakfast Show hosted by Lantam Papanko.
She blamed the Finance Ministry, Attorney General’s Department and the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) for not implementing the directive of the National Labour Commission (NLC) for improved conditions of service which include the provision of vehicles, consistent salaries, Pension schemes and logistical support.
“The least said about our working conditions the better….. We don’t have the required tools to facilitate our work. No vehicles for transport compelling some of us operate from our homes and the rest. The requisite logistics to aid in our work have not been provided”, she revealed.
She reiterated their threat to lay down their tools if the demands are not met by close of next Wednesday.
