The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Tema Regional Police Command ASP Juliana Obeng has told host of Abusua Nkomo Kwame Adinkra that no human head was found on the suspect arrested at a rally ground of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Sunday.
She has therefore cautioned the public to be wary of persons who are always in the haste to cause fear and panic ahead of the December 7 polls describing them as alarmists.
“We found no human head on the suspect. What we saw was some grass concealed in the bag generating some foul smell and not what was reported”, she disclosed.
ASP posited that the public should always endeavor to report criminal matters to the police who are the mandated to deal with such issues rather take the law into their own hands wondering what would have been the fate of the innocent suspect if they had not intervened.
“It is just a false alarm. The substance found in the polythene bag was not a human head. It was sand and rubbish” she said.
DSP Juliana Obeng urged the media to be circumspect and crosscheck facts before putting out any information to the public.
