A former Ashanti Regional Minister, Samson Kwaku Boafo is optimistic that Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo once sworn into office on January 7, 2017, will be able to deliver on the litany of promises he made to Ghanaians.
He believes he is not going to shortchange Ghanaians and keep to his word by fulfilling the promises within his first four-year mandate as the President of the country.
While observing that the promises may be numerous, he said he does not doubt the competence of the President-elect in dealing with the promises he described as challenges to resurrect the hitherto ailing Ghanaian economy.
“Within his four-year mandate, I am optimistic he will deliver on the numerous promises to Ghanaians including the restoration of allowances for teacher and nursing training allowances”, he revealed.
Taking his turn as executive guest of the Ultimate Breakfast Show on Friday hosted by Lantam Papanko, the former Subin constituency lawmaker revealed that a lot of feasibility studies was done on some of the promises before they were incorporated into its 2016 campaign manifesto.
He refused to divulge the caliber of personalities and professionals who were tasked to undertake the viability studies of the various projects and policies the party intends to embark on insisting that there is no way those promises will not be met.
“Before the party made some of the promises, it knew what it had prepared for the Ghanaians. The party worked on all solid plans and the blueprints to ensure they are feasible and implementable. Professional were made to tour the country and assessed their viability before incorporating them into the campaign manifesto”
