Jordan Ayew has had to settle for a bit-part this season so far.
He has at times shown that he can be an integral part of the Villa attack, but ultimately he hasn’t been a regular starter for new boss Steve Bruce.
The fans seem divided on Ayew, some think he is far too valuable to cast aside.
Others see him as a luxury player who doesn’t really fit in or perform on a regular basis.
Now it seems the striker is in demand with Andre Villas Boas looking to take him to his Chinese side, Shanghai.
Villas Boas has just snared Oscar from Chelsea in a £60m move, and it seems the spending isn’t over yet.
The Sun reports that the Chinese club are ready to make Villa and offer they can’t refuse to sell the star in the January window.
It will be interesting to see if Bruce allows Ayew to leave or whether he feels he is a striker that can be utilised for the promotion chase.
He remains one of the most skillful and valuable players on the books at Villa Park.
For how long, remains to be seen.
Would you sell Jordan Ayew in January?
