A single supreme court judge Justice Yaw Appau has ordered the Attorney General’s Department to file their statement of case in a writ challenging the release of the Montie three by the former President John Dramani Mahama in 7 days.
In a case filed by the current executive secretary to the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, Nana Asante Bediatuo, is asking the apex court to order for their arrest and have them serve the remaining of their custodial sentence.
The AG is now asking for extension of time to file their statement of case which was granted.
Ultimate News’ Wilberforce Asare reported that two others, lawyer Elikplim Agbemava and Isaac Tsiaa Yeboah have also filed a similar writ at the court.
The trio Godwin Ako Gunn, Alistair Nelson members of the outgoing National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Salifu Maase alias Mugabe a journalist with Montie FM were sentenced to prison after threatening the lives of the Supreme and High Court Judges.
