Some youth alleged to be members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have clashed with caterers of the Ghana School Feeding Programme at Ejura in the Ashanti region.
The group are said to have requested the caterers to vacate their posts after firing gunshots to enable them take over the project because their government is now in power.
They later blocked roads and chased the police away.
Two persons are reported to have sustained some injuries in the ensuing melee as supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) massed up to resist the takeover.
There is currently no police around to restore calm.
