The National Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Kofi Adams has disclosed that his seized vehicles have been returned to him through the intervention of the national security minister Kan Dapaah.
According to him, Mr Dapaah explained that he didn’t officially sanction the seizure.
Mr Adams who was full of praise of the minister commended him of not embarking on unhealthy witch-hunting.
Speaking with Accra-based Radio Gold on Thursday, the NDC Organiser explained “He did call to indicate that it wasn’t something that was sanctioned officially, and, so, they have instructed that they return the vehicles immediately. It is true that he spoke to me and I want to thank him. I think that is the way to go. He has assured that the appropriate punishment will be given to the officer who led that operation without authorisation. I think I must commend the National Security Minister, Mr Kan-Dapaah, for his intervention in this matter’.
Kofi Adams’ vehicles were on Wednesday seized by some soldiers and national security operatives in his absence.
