Police take custody of 13 Delta Force Court Escapees

Ultimate News gathers that all thirteen of the Delta Force members who absconded from court yesterday have turned themselves in.

The members of the security force of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Thursday stormed the KMA circuit court when thirteen of their members were being tried.

They held the judge Justice Mary Senkyire to threats and broke through the back door letting out all thirteen standing trial for pulling out a security coordinator and vandalizing his office.

The eight who were arrested for aiding the escape are also being prepared for court.

The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the police top hierarchy are currently in a series of meetings following Thursday’s spectacle.

Ultimate FM’s Isaac Justice Bediako reported from the police headquarters that the police are pressing fresh charges against the persons in their custody.

He also picks signals that the police is unhappy the judge who adjudicated the case did not grant the thirteen bail but chose to remand the thirteen, an act which courted the lawless skirmishes by the thugs.

He also spoke with some leaders of the Delta Force whom he reports are hopeful the court will prefer lenient charges on the accused because they willingly surrendered themselves to the police service.
