Kelly Rowland Gets Real About Her Post-Baby Vagina and Boobs

Kelly Rowland’s got a new book for new moms and she’s not holding anything back. In Whoa, Baby! A Guide for New Moms Who Feel Overwhelmed and Freaked Out (and Wonder What the #*{content}amp; Just Happened), Kelly, who gave birth to her son Titan in 2014, writes with brutal honesty about the changes her body has experienced.

Of her breasts, Kelly writes (via People), “All that gnawing at your nipples will take its toll! In those early days, I was fascinated (my polite way of saying ‘horrified’) by the transformation of the boobs.”

According to Kelly, her nipples became so big, they looked like Frisbees: “And sometimes I could see these veins bulging out while I was nursing.” Kelly, who underwent breast augmentation surgery nearly 10 years ago, also writes about how motherhood and breastfeeding have “sucked” the air out of her boobs.

“I can’t speak for everyone, but I know I’m going to see someone (wink wink) after I have my second kid. In the meantime, I just tried to enjoy my ability to feed my baby!”

Speaking about her book to USA Today, Kelly also gets candid about her vagina or rather, her “vajayjay,” which she says “does not look the same for a very long time.” Despite a friend’s assurance that Tim Witherspoon, Kelly’s husband of three years, wouldn’t care, she begs to differ. “But, I care about it. We go to get it all done up and trimmed and waxed and this and that and it’s all swollen and crazy and you’re just wondering what just happened?”

Elsewhere in the interview, Kelly notes that she’s also had a hard time dealing with the “disappearance” of her toned stomach. “I just saw a cover that I did for Shape and then I’m looking in the mirror going, ‘Oh my god this is not the same body. How did this happen?’ And, I had to just keep reminding myself that, ‘You had a baby, Kel.’ But I was hard on myself. I really was.”

Whoa, Baby! is in stores now.
