Delta Force 13 ‘Escapees’ Case Adjourned to May 18

A Kumasi Circuit Court on Thursday adjourned the case involving the 13 Delta Force members who freed court with the aid of their colleagues to May 18, 2017.

They were standing trial for attacking the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator George Adjei.

The Attorney General’s Department has been given a copy of the docket for study.

Members of the group later turned themselves in to the police and were fined GH¢24,000 each for escaping court custody and were asked to sign a bond of good behaviour for the next 6 months.

They were later granted bail on Thursday April 12, 2017 with conditions of GH¢10,000 each with two sureties of residents in Kumasi and two photo copies of valid Identity Cards (ID).

The 13 members include Kwadwo Fosu Bamba (aka Kwadwo Bamba), Awal Sadat Abubakar, Abubakar Sadiq Abuhammed, Jamil Issa, Hamza Mohammed, Salu Issahak, Akwasi Owusu, Kwabena Owusu, Kwaku Awotwe, Kofi Kyei, Yussif Salu, Agya Boadi and Salu Yussif.
