Social media Mall trolling:  Nana Addo strips Accra of Bragging Rights

The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo on Wednesday joined the social media troll stripping residents of the National capital Accra of the bragging rights to claim glory from the six shopping malls in Accra.

The President made the remarks while inaugurating the third of the company’s ultramodern shopping centres, the Kumasi City Mall in the Ashanti regional capital Kumasi.

The mall which opened to a huge patronage last month generated social media banter between residents of Kumasi and residents of Accra whose posts appeared to portray residents of Kumasi as backward and primitive.

The trolling went berserk when it took a tribal turn with songs, pictures and videos doctored to denigrate Gas and Akans with extension to other tribes.

But commenting on the trolling, the President admitted that the argument tilts favourably to residents of Kumasi.

“It should not come as a surprise to residents of Kumasi that your compatriots in Accra resorted to poking of fun and trolled you on face book and social media when this mall opened for you last month.”

“The reason is simple you have stolen their thunder. They no longer have the bragging rights of having the biggest mall in West Africa. As from this moment, it is no longer yenso yewo bi as I have heard some say here. But kesse no wo Kumasi” he said to wit, the biggest is in Kumasi.

He ended by dropping the slang “KCM you Do All”.
