Court adjourns Delta Force 13 case to 15 June

A circuit court in Kumasi presided over by Her Honour Mary Nsenkyire has adjourned the case involving 13 members of the vigilante group, Delta Force who are facing trial for allegedly attacking the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator, Mr. George Adjei to June, 16, 2017.

The case was adjourned because the Attorney General’s department had not yet given an advice on a docket forwarded to the AG’s department on the matter before the court.

Police Prosecutor ACP Okyere Darko told Ultimate News’ Isaac Badiako Justice that he was not perturbed with the development but was only hopeful that the AG does its work expeditiously on the docket.

The thirteen who were earlier fined 2400 each for absconding from lawful custody have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime, assault on a public officer, causing unlawful damage and preventing a public officer from performing his lawful duties.

Meanwhile Thursday’s hearing did not have the usual attendance of executives of the New Patriotic Party as have characterized preceding hearings on the case.
