TESCON swears in new executives in Spiritan University College

Executives of the tertiary education student’s confederacy of the governing New Patriotic Party in the Spiritan University College at the Ejisu Municipality in the Ashanti Region; swore in new executives over the weekend.

The event marked the first handing over ceremony of the Tertiary students Confederacy of the New Patriotic Party in the Spiritan University College since the group was launched in December 2015.

The occasion was attended by the Chief Executive officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) Lawyer Justin Koduah, the Ashanti regional director of the YEA Nelson Owusu Ansah, Patrons of TESCON as well as the party’s Ashanti regional executives and appointees of the Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo administration.

Relaying his farewell speech, the outgoing president Franklin Tuffour Boadi, acknowledged the contribution of his compatriots and charged his incoming administration to endeavour to make TESCON the party of choice for all students on campus.

“The new administration should continue making TESCON a monopoly on campus. You should not leave space for any political party to form its student wing here. Capture all the secular Ghanaian students on campus and leave them no students to work with,” he noted.

The succeeding president, Nana Akosua Boatemaa Kwarteng assured members of TESCON of government scholarships, and good placements in the National Service Scheme to reward their loyalty.

She promised, “My team and I will take advantage of our party being in power to seek for scholarships for TESCON members and I will also help TESCON executives and members get better placement under the National Service Scheme.”

The acting Ashanti regional organiser of the NPP Daniel Boateng charged members of TESCON to take advantage of the employment and support avenues created by government in the Youth Enterprise Agency and the Youth Enterprise Support programs to better their lots.

Director of the NTK ventures and Chief Patron of TESCON Spiritan University College Ntim Twumasi Kwaku commended the team for their contribution to the NPP’s electoral victory in 2016.

He took the opportunity to calm down tempers among the student fraternity who were aggrieved he was overlooked in the appointment of a Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu Juabeng.

Ntim Twumasi Kwaku was presented a plaque for his dedicated service to youth development and TESCON over the years.
