Sarkodie has outlived his usefulness in the music industry-Dr Marfo

The Dean of Social Science at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Doctor Charles Marfo has taken a swipe at the BET Award winner Michael Owusu Addo known as ‘Sarkodie’ for his line in a song titled ‘Jennifer Lomotey’ by an up and coming artiste Kurl Songz.

Speaking to Kwame Adinkrah on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo, the linguistic lecturer questioned the substance, inspiration and motivation behind the line.

According to him, he has been listening to Sarkodie since the inception of his musical career which previously motivated some people but now his lines are incoherent.

He alleged that, the ‘rapperholic’ singer doesn’t even script his songs but sings on ad hoc basis blaming it on the level of incoherence of his lines lately.

Dr Marfo intimated that the father of one and musician for that matter should be singing songs that would bring about unity and oneness and rather stay away from songs that are tribalistic that tends to disintegrate society.

Sarkordie in the song talks about a Krobo lady wearing beads who has been cursed with promiscuity by Komfo Anokye.

But some members of Krobo descent are not happy about the song calling on him to apologise.
