Be forthright to Ghanaians about challenges confronting your administration – Addai-Nimoh tells Nana Addo

A onetime flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr Francis Addai-Nimoh is asking the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to tell Ghanaians the sincere truth about the state of the country.

The former Mampong legislator points out that Ghana’s state of affairs is not as promising as is being communicated to the citizenry.

Speaking to Ultimate News’ Ivan Heathcote – Fumador, he explained that the finances to prosecute promises made by this administration is not existent

He strongly insisted that the expectations of Ghanaians will be better managed if the President takes the bold step to lay bear to Ghanaians the hurdles of his government.

“The communication wing of the Akufo-Addo led administration, the NPP led government needs to communicate to the Ghanaian people, things that we can do now and those we cannot do now but have to wait for a year, two years, three years before they can be implemented.”

“We have to let the people know the resources are not there because we spend major part of our resources to pay our tax revenues, to pay compensation of public sector workers, interest on loan repayment, and transfers to DACF, NHIS and GET fund. So we have to be forthright and let the people know the huge burden and task that confront us and work on it carefully,” he pointed out.

Mr Addai-Nimoh however noted that six months into President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration is not enough to begin assessing his performance and mandate to the people of Ghana.
