Regional Minister & KMA donate GH¢10,000 to Kotoko after accident

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have received monetary support from the Regional Minister and Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) through the Youth and Sports Committee after their gory accident on Wednesday evening.

The team bus ran into a parked KIA truck on the Nkawkaw highway en route from Accra to Kumasi, after engaging Inter Allies in the Ghana Premier League.

The Deputy Equipment Officer Thomas Asare has been confirmed dead in the accident.

Three are currently on admission – whiles the rest of the players and the coaches have been discharged and are in stable condition.

The Regional Minister and KMA through the Youth and Sports Committee donated an amount of 10,000 Ghana cedis each when they paid a visit to the team at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KMA).

Presenting the cash on behalf of the two bodies is Stephen Asare, Amakom Assemblyman, who is the Sports Convener  for the Ministry of Youth and Sports – arrived with his entourage to make the donation.
