The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Brong Ahafo region has slated it’s regional Annual Delegates Conference for July 20, 2017 (Thursday).
Speaking to the Press in Sunyani, the Deputy Regional Secretary, Mr Kofi Ofosu Boateng hinted that, the event, which is the party’s constitutional requirement will afford the Party the opportunity to review its activities and put in place appropriate systems and measures for its smooth operation.
He said the Party will also make decisions regarding some proposed constitutional amendments.
Mr Boateng however explained that, upon national directives the party has conformed to all constitutional requirements ahead of the event by successfully organizing similar conferences in all the constituencies.
The Deputy scribe clarified that, the regional delegates conference shall be attended by all constituency executives, founding fathers, patrons, founding members, Tescon representatives, members of parliament, regional and deputy ministers and representatives from the National Executives among others.
He disabused the notion that elections of party executives will take place during these conferences.
He appealed to all members to assist the government deliver on its mandate and not fail Ghanaians just like the previous administration did.
