EIB Network is media partner for Ghana Finance Week 2017

EIB Network is the official media partner for the maiden Ghana Finance Week slated for 16-21 October 2017.

The Ghana Finance Week (GFW) is a festival of live financial industry events designed to showcase, celebrate the best of finance and spurring financial inclusion while providing networking, social, learning and business opportunities for all.

The event is being organized by Precise Communications Ltd.

The week aims among other things to create a platform for financial services providers and regulators to showcase and promote their product services, to bridge the financial inclusion gap, to Promote excellence and innovation within the financial sector, to educate and inform the public about the various financial products that can enhance their lives and business.

The week will connect with thousands of people in Ghana, which will be made of students, educators, entrepreneurs, business leaders, employees, nonprofit leaders, finance professional, government officials and many others, through a range of signature activities.

“The financial sector plays a key role in Ghana’s economic prosperity and the livelihoods of our citizen. We are delighted to welcome EIB Network for this partnership to drive financial inclusion through the Ghana Finance Week,” Stephen Gyasi-Kwaw, CEO Precise Communication said at the MoU signing ceremony.

The Ghana Finance Week is a catalyst to foster inclusion, drive excellence and innovation within Ghana’s Financial services industry,” Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi, the CEO of EIB Network stated.

The signature activities for the Ghana Finance week are as follows:

Financial Services Expo: This will be a one stop shop where the general public will have access to information on the various products, services within the financial services industry in Ghana. It will also provide a marketplace platform for financial services providers to engage with their consumers on their concerns on the products and services they offer. The expo is a catalyst to drive excellence and innovation within Ghana’s Financial services industry.

Ghana Finance summit: The Summit will be a high level conference to feel the pulse of the Finance sector – the lifeblood of the nation’s business community. The Summit also enables participants to discuss and evaluate key challenges, trends and opportunities in the Finance Industry. It will provide useful insights into the thinking of the captains of the finance Industry as well as provide a timely platform for exchange of ideas, industry updates and knowledge for finance professionals, business leaders and Policy makers

The Summit will provide participants with timely updates and leadership conversations with leading players in the industry. It will facilitate healthy exchange of views among finance professionals, entrepreneur’s development partners, civil society and regulators.

FinTech Live: The event is to create a platform to showcase new tech innovations in banking, investing, insurance, lending, payments and other financial services technology. (“fintech” for short). The day will be weaved with live demos and Hackathon. Companies with fintech solutions will be invited to make a demo presentation to finance sector leaders and investors.

Careers In Finance live: This event aims to inspire, inform and education people about the various finance career options within the financial sector. It will also create a platform for successful finance professional to share the career journey with aspiring and practicing finance professional.

Financial Sector Games: This is a multi sports event which aims to promote health and wellbeing of finance professionals by bringing them to socialize through a range of multi sports activities and also raise funds to support a worthy social intervention cause. The games will also be a vi to raise funds to support social intervention Programs.

Funds will be raised through the entry fee from the financial sector organisations that will sign up to participate in the various sports competitions. This year the funds will be donated towards Kokrokoo Charities Project 100 Incubators which is championed by Kwami Sefa Kayi.

Finance Professionals Day of Service: This event will create an opportunity for finance professionals in Ghana to give back to the society through their skills and talents. It will also promote corporate citizenship culture with the finance sector.
