We have our two legs in the premier league – Dreams FC

Division One side Dreams FC are very optimistic of making it back to the elite division after being demoted to the lower division, following a 2-1 win over Young Wise on Sunday.

The Kweiman-based club were demoted by the GFA for fielding an unqualified player named Cudjoe Mensah, who had previously been registered with Daniel Gozar – currently playing for Ashanti Gold.

With eight matches to go, Dreams have nine-point advantage over their closest rival, Heart of Lions who have 48 points.

Speaking to the press, Henry Asante Twum, who is the Communication Director for Dreams FC, says the task was huge but allay to the fact it is all down to hardwork.

“I think we are in the premier league. We have almost our two legs in the premier league,” Asante told the press.

“It has been a very difficult season. After the demotion, we had to work on the psyche of the players, in addition to recruiting young ones. About 85% of the players are new. We picked them from other division one and two clubs to start a fresh.

“They have done very well. Their commitment level has also been very good.”
