September 1 declared public holiday

The government has declared Friday September 1, 2017 as a Statutory Public Holiday.

The day marks Muslims Eidul-Adha celebration.

A statement signed by the Interior Minister Ambrose Dery said, ‘the general public is hereby reminded that Friday 1st September, 2017 which marks Eidul-Adha, is a statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country’.
